This was my first attemt at crock pot chili. I liked the results enough to write it down. It came out with a warm and hearty flavor, but not overly greasy or heavy. I used some ingredients like spaghetti sauce simply because I had them handy and wanted to use them up. I'm sure I can substitute something else next time.
I put the raw ground beef, caramelized onions, spaghetti sauce, and all the cans in the crock pot and cooked it on high for 2 hours to get things started. After 2 hours I turned it to low, gave it a taste, and added the spices. I then cooked it for several more hours. The tomatoes completely disintegrated and became part of the sauce.
It came out surprisingly meaty given how much other stuff went into it.
