Preheat the oven to 325*F.
Cream the butter and sugar. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Put in a 9" pie pan or square tin and do an egg glaze on top.
Bake 30-40 minutes at 325*F. The boterkoek will be gooey inside.
This can also be made without almond paste, but I haven't done so.
Mom says keep the almond paste in the fridge, not the freezer, and it will last for months.
