Scoop the pesto or muffalata mix with a spoon so you don't double dip. (This will keep the pesto fresh; it will mold fast if you expose it to the tinitest bit of bread crumbs.)
Thinly spread pesto on both top and bottom of bread.
Layer the remaining ingredients with turkey on the bottom, then tomatoes, then cheese.
Bake for 30-45 min at 350*F.
This is fast and simple to make, but it's always a huge hit. People tend to eat more than you'd think, especially if you go light on the turkey. Assume one loaf will feed four people at most, and it only stretches that far if there's a side dish.
